There are many ways to get rid of unwanted body hair, including shaving,
waxing, depilatories, electrolysis, and laser hair removal. Each has its
advantage and disadvantages and which to choose is a highly personal decision.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the most state-of-the-art and high-tech method
in removing unwanted hair. Lasers target hair follicles and eliminate or significantly impede
hair from growing back. This is a quick, virtually painless procedure.
We use FDA approved Laserscope technology
for permanent hair reduction on all skin types, including very fair
skin and olive or African-American skin. Treatments are most effective
on medium to dark hair on any skin type.
We also offer electrolysis for those places where the laser cannot
go and to remove white hairs which have no pigment and do not attract
the laser light. During electrolysis, a very fine probe is inserted
into each unwanted hair follicle. Then an electrical impulse cauterizes
the blood vessels and destroys the hair's ability to grow. The hair is
released from its follicle and permanently removed,
You can expect that you will need more than one treatment to get the
best results. The number of treatments will vary with the areas
treated and the type of hair to be removed. But
the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments
have been completed. Each treatment lasts between 15 minutes and one hour.
